Here's ore of the more useful tools I've made for my studio. My brush organizer is inspired the one found in Rembrandt's studio, but it is divided into four wells that hold walnut oil. Each well is specified for the color used by the brushes- the categories are: cool dark, warm dark, cool light, warm light- inspired by the techniques of Peter Paul Rubens. The walnut oil keeps my brushes from drying out as well as cleans them. I very rarely clean my brush out with thinner now. It's an incredible time saver. Also dividing the brushes by tone and temperature helps me keep my colors more vibrant.
